The Best Shot Camps are an introduction to guns and shooting.
Pre-registration and Payment is required to be in the Camps.
Intro Youth Shooting Camp:
During the summer, the week-long Basic Rifle Camps offer extended training. We recognize this may not fit everyone’s schedule and the 2 and a half-hour Camp is a way to provide an introduction to guns and shooting.
The focus of the camp is to introduce youth to a fun shooting experience. For two and a half hours, 8:00am to 10:30 am, students will be given gun safety, basic firearms knowledge and marksmanship training.
The Rifle Camp is for ages 8 to 16 and features Savage Mark-II FVT Bolt-Action Target Rifles. Students will be trained according to the National Rifle Association Basic Rifle course standard. The camp includes a class materials, the use of a rifle, eye and ear protection, ammo and targets.
The Pistol Camp is for ages 12 to 18 and features .22 Rimfire Pistols. Students will be trained according to the National Rifle Association Basic Pistol course standard. The camp includes a class materials, the use of a pistol, eye and ear protection, ammo and targets.
To allow for maximum shooting activity, each Intro Camp is limited to 10 participants. The cost is $95.

Week-Long Youth Shooting Camps:
The Level 1 Rifle Camp is for new shooters – boys and girls ages 8 to 16. For four days, Monday thru Thursday mornings (8:30am to 10:30am), campers will learn rifle marksmanship and gun safety. Each day there will be a lesson, hands-on firearms instruction, and a shooting exercise. There is a Saturday morning (8:00am to 10:00am) session for “graduates” to demonstrate their marksmanship to parents. We feature Savage Mark-II FVT Target Rifles. The camp includes the daily use of a rifle, eye and ear protection, ammo, and targets. [Campers may bring their own rimfire rifle to the Range. However, the first few days, we will use Camp rifles for the exercises. Later in the week, they will be given an opportunity to shoot their gun. The Level 2 Rifle Camp is for boys and girls that have completed the Best Shot Range Level 1 Camp. The focus of this Camp is to improve shooting skills. We’ll follow the NRA Marksmanship Qualification program, shoot a variety of .22 rifles (bolt-action, semi-auto, lever-action, pump-action, and falling block), and conduct a basic shooting match to learn range commands and disciplined shooting. The camp includes the daily use of a rifle, eye and ear protection, ammo, and targets. The camp is five days, Monday thru Thursday, from 8:30am to 10:30 each day. **Please call the Range directly or refer to event Online Registration for current pricing.**
Each Camp must have at least six students enrolled, and attendance is limited to 20 students.

3-Day Pistol Youth Shooting Camp:
The focus of the Pistol Camp is to introduce youth, 12 to 18, to safe gun handling and the shooting of a handgun. The 3-Day Camp begins at 8:30am each day at the Range. Each session will include a lesson, hands-on firearms instruction, and a shooting exercise. Camp ends each weekday at 10:30am.
We will be featuring a variety of semi-auto pistols chambered in .22 long rifle. The Camp includes training materials, the use of a pistol, eye and ear protection, ammo, and targets.
The cost is $150. There is a minimum of five and a maximum of ten students per 3-Day Pistol Camp.
There will be three primary topics discussed:
- Gun Safety
- Basic Pistol Knowledge
- Basic Pistol Marksmanship
